The Festive Season

The Festive Season

The run-up to Christmas is a busy season for everyone, especially at law firms. There are applications to be filed, deadlines to be met; everything has be tied up before the long break so there are no nasty surprises over the holidays. No-one wants to have to go to work on Boxing Day to deal with an emergency injunction.

And, for partners, there are other onerous duties. Lunches with clients, drinks with insurers, parties, carol concerts - all the duties of a hard-pressed partner forced to entertain his business clients. What can he do but hand over the nasty business of litigation to his associates? Poor Richard - it's a nasty job, but someone has to do it.
