Snowmaggedon

Snowmaggedon

Last week the whole country ground to a halt because of a few snowflakes. It reminds me of living in Los Angeles, where a light drizzle is described as a "storm" on the weather channel, and everyone stays at home, just in case. The roads get slick with oil and grease over the summer and then, when the rains come back in October, all the cars on the road skid into the back of each other. Result: gridlock. Here in the UK we get snow every year, somewhere, but we still seem surprised by it. Or maybe it's just an excuse not to go to work.
